ORANGE GLOW

The Orange Glow bougainvillea is a vigorous, tropical flowering plant prized for its brilliant, burnt-orange papery bracts. While the colorful parts are often mistaken for flowers, they are actually modified leaves that surround tiny, inconspicuous white or yellow true flowers.Sunlight: Requires full, direct sun, at least 6–8 hours daily, for maximum flowering.

Watering: Drought-tolerant. Water deeply but infrequently. Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings to encourage blooming. Overwatering causes excessive green growth and few blooms.

Soil: Thrives in well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral sandy or loamy soil.

Fertilizer: Use a balanced, low-nitrogen, or phosphorus-rich fertilizer every 30-40 days during the growing season to promote blooms.

Pruning: Requires regular pruning to maintain shape and encourage new growth, as flowers grow on new wood. It is best pruned after the bloom cycle.

Climate: Thrives in temperatures between 20°C – 35°C. It is frost-sensitive and needs protection in colder zones.
