Product Description
The Bakul Tree (Mimusops elengi), also known as Maulsari or Spanish Cherry, is a beautiful evergreen tree admired for its attractive appearance, fragrant flowers, and medicinal properties. It is a popular ornamental tree in gardens, parks, roadsides, and home landscapes.
The tree has a dense, rounded canopy with glossy, dark green leaves that remain attractive throughout the year. Its small, creamy-white, star-shaped flowers produce a sweet and pleasant fragrance, especially during the evening and night. These flowers are traditionally used for पूजा, garlands, and decorative purposes.
Bakul trees produce small, oval-shaped fruits that turn yellowish-orange to reddish when ripe. The fruits are edible and have a mildly sweet taste. The tree grows well in tropical and subtropical climates and can tolerate different soil conditions. It prefers well-drained soil and grows best in full sunlight or partial shade.
Bakul is a relatively low-maintenance tree once established. Regular watering during the early growth stage helps develop a strong root system. It is also valued for its shade-giving ability, making it an excellent choice for gardens and outdoor spaces.
With its evergreen foliage, fragrant blossoms, attractive fruits, and long lifespan, the Bakul tree is a wonderful addition to any garden. It combines natural beauty, fragrance, and traditional value in one elegant tree.
