Product Description

Aglaonema White Legacy is a beautiful ornamental indoor plant admired for its elegant white and green foliage. Its stunning leaf patterns add a touch of sophistication and freshness to any home, office, or indoor garden. This attractive plant is perfect for modern home décor, decorative planters, and gifting to plant lovers. It thrives in bright, indirect light and requires minimal maintenance, making it an excellent choice for beginners and busy plant enthusiasts. With proper watering and well-draining soil, Aglaonema White Legacy can enhance your space with its unique beauty and lush foliage.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

  • FOLIAGE: The plant features large, glossy, lance-shaped leaves with a striking creamy silver-white center. This bright center is contrasted by deep emerald-green margins and delicate green speckled accents.

  • GROWTH HABIT: It has a compact, upright, and clumping growth habit. The dense foliage emerges from short central stems, forming a structured rosette shape over time.

  • SIZE: It typically grows into a manageable indoor size, with young nursery plants averaging around 7 to 10 inches (25–35 cm) tall.

ESSENTIAL CARE GUIDE

  • LIGHT: Thrives best in bright, indirect sunlight. While it can tolerate lower light conditions, bright indirect lighting is necessary to maintain its stark white coloration. Avoid direct sun, as the harsh rays will easily scorch the variegated leaves.

  • WATERING: Water only when the top 1 to 2 inches of soil dry out completely (roughly every 10–14 days depending on your home's climate). Ensure the pot has excellent drainage, as Aglaonemas are highly susceptible to root rot from standing water.

  • SOIL MIX: Requires a highly porous, well-draining, and moisture-retentive substrate.

  • TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY: Keep the plant in a warm environment above 16°C–18°C (60°F). Keep it away from cold drafts, drafty windows, or direct air conditioning vents. It prefers moderate to high humidity but adapts well to average household levels.

  • FEEDING: Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half-strength once every 3 to 4 weeks during the active spring and summer growing seasons.

KEY BENEFITS & DRAWBACKS

  • AIR PURIFYING: Like most Chinese Evergreens, it naturally filters indoor air pollutants, making it a healthy addition to workspaces and bedrooms

  • LOW MAINTENANCE: Highly beginner-friendly due to its resilient nature and ability to tolerate occasional watering neglect.

  • TOXICITY WARNING: Toxic to pets and humans. The plant contains calcium oxalate crystals, which cause oral irritation, swelling, and digestive discomfort if ingested. Keep it out of reach of curious cats, dogs, or toddlers.

COMMON TROUBLESHOOTING

  • YELLOWING LEAVES: Usually a classic sign of overwatering or poor pot drainage.

  • BROWN LEAF TIPS: Caused by mineral buildup from tap water, inconsistent watering habits, or excessively dry air.

  • FADED/GREENING LEAVES: If the brilliant white variegation starts to turn dull or fades into a solid light green, the plant is not receiving enough indirect light.

  • LEANING FOLIAGE: Aglaonemas display phototropism (growing toward the light source). Rotate the planter 90 degrees every week to ensure even, upright growth.
